Christopher Cazenove: "Dynasty" Star, RIP

Christopher CazenoveOn April 1st John Forsythe, who played  Blake Carrington,on the popular 1980s TV series "Dynasty," died at the age of 92, it was announced yesterday, that on the 7th of April, Christopher Cazenove, who played Ben Carrington,  Blake Carrington black sheep brother, in 36 episodes of "Dynasty," in 1986-87, died. He was 64.years old.

In a statement released yesterday  his family said, "Christopher (Cazenove) died peacefully on April 7 surrounded by his loved ones, having contracted septicemia at the end of February." Mr. Cazenove died at St. Thomas' hospital in London.

Mr Cazenove  is being remembered for his role as Ben Carrington,  but he had a long acting career. He was seen on American television (1978 to 1980) in the PBS presented  British miniseries, "The Duchess of Duke Street."  He played the role of Charles Haslemere. His film roles include The Proprietor” (1996), “Heat and Dust” (1983), “Eye of the Needle” (1981). "Three Men and a Little Lady" in 1990 and "A Knight's Tale" in 2001.

In many Internet postings this morning, he is fondly being remember as Ben Carrington, the plotting, scheming, younger, British  brother, set on making trouble for Blake Carrington on “Dynasty.”
